Peaceful Place at Community of Christ Anaheim
Church should be a place where everyone feels welcome, safe, and free to be themselves. That’s why we’ve created the Peaceful Place—a sensory-friendly corner designed especially for children who may need a calm and comfortable space during worship services, gatherings, or education classes.
The Peaceful Place provides soft seating, calming activities, and sensory tools to help kids regulate their emotions and feel at home. It allows children—and their families—to fully participate in community life, knowing that their needs are honored and supported.
Why It Matters
Families often face challenges in worship when children need space to move, decompress, or take a break from stimulation. Instead of feeling stressed or excluded, the Peaceful Place offers a welcoming environment where every child can find peace and rejoin the community when they are ready. It helps us live into our calling as a church that extends love, hospitality, and acceptance to all.
